An infinity edge over the North Atlantic. The best new geothermal experience in Iceland.
Opened in 2021, Sky Lagoon sits on the Kársnes peninsula with the Atlantic Ocean stretching uninterrupted to the horizon. The infinity-edge pool makes the water appear to merge with the sea. The Skjól ritual — a seven-step circuit of lagoon, cold plunge, sauna, cold fog mist, steam, and sky bar — is the most thoughtfully designed thermal bathing ritual in Iceland. The architecture is restrained and Icelandic: basalt, timber, and glass.

An insider's tip
The sauna fills fast. Arrive just before the top of the hour when a new group is let in and you'll get a front-row spot by the ocean-facing window.
Don't leave without
Complete the full Skjól ritual — the seven-step sequence ends with the rooftop bar and a view that makes the price feel reasonable.
