Twenty pools in a red-boarded gorge in the Andes. The most beautiful thermal bath design in South America.
Termas Geométricas sits in a narrow river gorge in southern Chile's lake district, surrounded by Valdivian temperate rainforest. The design is singular — architect Germán del Sol lined the gorge with deep-red wooden boardwalks and placed 20 pools of varying temperature (fed by natural thermal springs) along the river's course. The geometry of red against green forest and the sound of the river throughout creates an immersive experience with no equal in South America.

An insider's tip
Visit in winter (June-August) when snow sits on the surrounding Andes and the steam from the pools is at maximum drama. The red boardwalks against snow and mist are extraordinary.
